Policy on Returns (RMA)

Return Policy

Computer Solutionz will replace any item found to be faulty under the terms of the manufacturers guarantee.  We are charged a fee for products sent back to the manufacturer as faulty that are found not to be faulty when tested, we also lose money in postage and packaging, for this reason we must test all products returned before issuing any refunds or replacements.  Please also read the Terms & Conditions before returning an item.

Warranty’s are, unless otherwise stated, a Return To Base warranty.  This means that it is down to you as the customer to return and collect the product for the shop premises.  Some products, such as monitors and printers, come with an On Site Warranty.  This warranty service is provided by the manufacture and you should therefore contact the manufacturer, not us, if the product is faulty.

Return Procedure

When returning an item, please make sure the product is properly packaged and includes all the manuals, CD’s, cables and anything else that came with the product when purchased.  Products must still be in like new and re-sellable condition for the purchase to be refunded for credit.

Please make sure you have the correct receipt, this is very important, without this we cannot track where the product came from and can therefore not return the item for repair/replacement.

If any exchange is required, Computer Solutionz will only ship out the product AFTER we’ve received and inspected the returned package. Computer Solutionz cannot process any cross shipments. For credit refunds, Computer Solutionz will either refund your money or credit back to your credit card.  It takes up to 4 weeks for processing RMA return, up to 3 business days for refund to credit card account, and 2 extra weeks to process a refund check to prepaid customer.

Products with physical damage caused by the customer, removed and altered warranty stickers or serial number will automatically void the warranty and thus void the return.

Credits, Refunds, and Exchanges

Returned merchandise must still be in like-new and re-sellable condition and be accompanied with all original packaging, documentation and accessories. Failure to do so will result in the void of the return for refund. Computer Solutionz reserves the right to refuse any merchandise or to impose a 15% minimum restocking fee for any returns not meeting the above requirement. All merchandise must be received before any refunds or replacement can be processed; we cannot and do not offer cross shipment. Please allow for up to 4 weeks for processing. Computer Solutionz will either credit your account, exchange, or replace the product and inform you the result of your return after our engineers receives, inspects, and processes your return.

Warranty Repairs or Tech Support

Computer Solutionz does not provide technical support or troubleshoot for our products. Please research solutions for technical problems with manufacturerr’s website or directly contact with manufacturer technical support

For retail box products, the original manufacturer policies require that you contact them directly for assistance regarding their products. Some of these manufacturers offer tech support as well and will replace, exchange or repair the products according to their policies. Please refer to the original manufacturer of your products’ website for more information.

Manufacturers’ warranties may vary on specific products. Manufacturer warranty information is subject to change without notice from the manufacturer.

All new products that Computer Solutionz sells are covered by their original manufacturers for use in the United Kingdom only. Products that Computer Solutionz ships internationally may not have the same warranty coverage. For international customers, please refer to the original manufacturers’ warranty for advisement or contact the manufacturer local branch office for more information.

Special Products and Exceptions

CPUs and Memory Modules

Physical damage on all CPU or memory modules such as cracked and chipped silicon die due to overclocking, broken trace, using heat transfer compound (instead of pad’s), or fried and burnt chips will instantly void all warranty. Computer Solutionz will also not be responsible for damage caused by damaged products.

Manufacturers provide direct warranty services on all retail box CPUs.


Physical damage on the motherboard such as scratches, BIOS flashing, blown power supply regulators will instantly void all warranty.

Systems, Servers, Custom Configured, Special Order Products

No returns for refunds, credit, or exchange will be accepted for systems, servers, and custom configured, special order products. Computer Solutionz will REPAIR ONLY defective products under the 1-year limited warranty.

Bare-bone Systems

If a product fails when purchased as a bare-bone system it is the product, and not the system, that must be returned.  Computer Solutionz will only accept return of a system if we built the system.

Bundled Items

We can only accept refunds or credit on bundled items together as a whole within 30 days from the invoice date. Every single item included in the bundle has to be in like-new and resalable condition, if any one item does not meet that condition a minimum of 15% restocking fee will be applied to the whole bundle if we decide to refund.

If an individual item is defective only the defective item has to be returned for repair/replacement only within 30 days from the invoice date.

Software and Consumable Supplies

Opened software may be returned for exchange the same title only if defective. No refunds or credits will be issued on all opened software. No refund, credit, exchange, or repair for all Opened consumable supplies.


All remanufactured items come with 30 days warranty unless otherwise stated, the same conditions apply with remanufactured goods as with new goods.

OEM/Bulk Package

OEM or bulk packaged products usually come as simple bare packages, meaning they are sold without manufacturer warranty, manuals, drivers, additional software, or accessories. However, some products are sold with these additional accessories, software or warranties even though they are labelled as OEM or Bulk packaging.

We can not accept any returns on OEM products that do not carry a manufactures warranty, even if your OEM product is defective.

Retail Package

The retail package comes with all original manufacturer packaging and warranty card as well as drivers, additional software and accessories. After 30 days expires, contact only the original manufacturer for returns, exchanges, or repair.

Price matching or Price protection

Since computer technology changes and develops at amazing speeds prices often fluctuates on computer hardware or software. Computer Solutionz pride in ourselves to providing the best prices and savings for our customers as possible but unfortunately as policy Computer Solutionz cannot offer price protection or price matching on all our products

Damaged Merchandise

Computer Solutionz is not responsible or liable for merchandise that you receive that is damaged by the shipping carrier such as Fast Track or the Post Office. Upon delivery of the merchandise please inspect the product boxes; if they are damaged refuse the delivery or report the damaged merchandise to the shipping carrier and request the carrier to investigate and inspect the damaged products and send Computer Solutionz a copy of the inspection report. It is imperative that you request the carrier to contact Computer Solutionz at 0191 422 1497. Don’t assemble if the product has physical damage when it’s received. 

Computer Solutionz shall under no circumstances be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damage, including loss of profit, when using, installing, or operating the merchandise purchased by customer. All products are entitled to limited warranty offered by Computer Solutionz or the manufacturer's limited express warranty.
